Pristine perfection

Everything is untouched.
Every surface holds the quiet thrill of a beginning.
Outside your windows, bougainvillea rises in full spring bloom, generous and alive. Inside, each element waits for its first encounter: the restored crystal details from Via dei Coronari, catching the light as they once did; the Cielo ceramics, returned to their original purity, calm and essential. Nothing has been lived yet. Everything is ready.

Flos and Artemide chandeliers cast their geometries for the very first time onto centuries-old walls.
A Marshall amplifier stands by, waiting for your first Roman playlists.
The cream-colored vintage SMEG refrigerator is empty, patient, prepared to welcome your first treasures from Campo de’ Fiori.

This is not a place that remembers.

It's time to bloom in Rome

Rome is not just a destination.
It is the moment you begin to bloom.

Here, between 18th-century walls that still murmur ancient stories and contemporary design that gently opens toward the future, every corner invites becoming. Like the city’s most photographed bougainvillea framing our windows in full color, this is your time to flower in the Eternal City.

It’s time to bloom in Rome is not simply an invitation.
It is a promise.

The same quiet force that has shaped artists, emperors, and dreamers for centuries is waiting for you now. You feel it in the golden reflections of baroque mirrors, in the enveloping comfort of a Treca Paris mattress, in the perfect sound of a Marshall amplifier accompanying your Roman awakening.

This is not a stay. It is a season.

The master sanctuary

-LISPI CIMA wrought-iron canopy bed, c. 1920
-Kartell modular bedside tables
-Sbordoni bathtub for beauty rituals
-Treca Paris “Istanbul” mattress with topper
-Antique crystal chandelier, Via dei Coronari
-Original baroque wall sconces, Roman antiquarian provenance
-Capo d’Opera chromatic chest of drawers
(beige → terracotta → burgundy)
-Fantin contemporary wardrobes (2)
-Hand-painted historic door from a Neapolitan villa
-Private bathroom with Victorian Old England ceramics
-Towel rails with engraved floral motifs.

Here, sleep becomes a beauty ritual.
Wrapped in 18th-century walls that still breathe history, the master bedroom opens into a fully immersive experience. At its heart stands the LISPI CIMA canopy bed: four generations of master blacksmiths, since 1920, hand-forging rounded wrought-iron profiles that rise from the bed’s base and culminate in solid iron circles, gently holding soft, colored cotton cords. A design that is elegant and restrained, reinterpreting the centuries-old tradition of the canopy bed through a contemporary lens.

The Treca Paris Istanbul Collection mattress embodies the French art of sleep, perfected since 1935. Individually pocketed Air Spring® coils, full capitonné upholstery stitched entirely by hand after more than 24 hours of craftsmanship, and noble natural fillings including Arles Merino wool and Royal Alpaca. A dedicated topper completes the experience, adapting seamlessly to the body’s morphology for enveloping, restorative comfort.

The en-suite bathroom reveals its theatrical elegance. Victorian Old England ceramics evoke timeless British refinement, while a gilded baroque mirror reflects three centuries of beauty. An antique pull-chain WC whispers forgotten stories. The walls themselves narrate layers of time: ancient lime plaster, original pigments, traces of age transformed into art.

Here, modern luxury does not replace history.
It converses with it.

The chromatic wellness

-ZanettiChini multifunction shower
-Custom faucets with colored knobs
(red, blue, rust, Pompeii green)
-Cielo contemporary sanitary ceramics
-18th-century walls with original frescoes
-Modern bidet and washbasin.
An explosion of personality unfolds where centuries-old walls frame a contemporary play of color. Industrial fittings by ZanettiChini and Stella Roma draw a functional rainbow: red and blue knobs punctuating aged surfaces, burnished brass, Pompeii green, Roman rust. Each hue is deliberate. Each gesture precise.
The walls bear witness to centuries of life. Original 18th-century frescoes surface between layers of lime plaster, natural pigments deepened and ennobled by time itself. A multifunction shower, bidet, and Old England washbasin move in a quiet choreography of color, transforming daily routines into moments of chromatic pleasure.
History does not stand still here.
It whispers — softly — of those who lived in these spaces before you, while inviting you to add your own layer to the story.

The quiete zone

-Flos 2097 chandelier, design Gino Sarfatti (1958)
-Knoll round dining table, tempered glass, geometric purity
-Thonet chairs, Austrian bentwood tradition since 1859
-Artemide Linea lighting system, geometric linear forms with stratospheric light projection
-Original cement tiles, chromatic palette of soft greys, warm sand, dusty blues, and terracotta tones.

To reach the living area, one passes through a corridor defined by light.
Here, Artemide Linea fixtures trace the space with precise, geometric clarity. Their linear forms project a stratospheric glow, sharp yet weightless, guiding the transition from threshold to quiet zone. Light becomes architecture, drawing perspective and rhythm along the walls.
This passage is not merely connective.
It is a deliberate prelude.
Overhead, the iconic Flos 2097 chandelier by Gino Sarfatti floats like a contemporary constellation, its exposed bulbs casting a soft, graphic glow across the room. A modern counterpoint to the space’s historic soul.
At the center, a round Knoll dining table in tempered glass introduces geometric purity and lightness, encouraging conversation and shared moments. It is paired with Thonet chairs, whose bentwood curves carry forward an Austrian design tradition begun in 1859, adding warmth and tactile elegance.
Underfoot, original cement tiles unfold in a muted, time-worn palette: soft greys, warm sand, dusty blues, and hints of terracotta. Their imperfect geometry and faded pigments tell a story of daily life layered over centuries, grounding the contemporary design in Roman authenticity.
Here, design does not compete with history.
It listens to it — and responds with clarity.

Laundry & Wardrobe Area — Where Function Becomes Design

Here, practicality takes on an aesthetic dimension.

Ancient walls welcome contemporary design, proving that utility can be beautiful. A professional Miele laundry system includes washer and dryer with specialized detergents for every fabric, alongside an iron always ready for use. Kartell modular wardrobes introduce bold yet balanced geometries, their ocean blues and sage greens engaging in a quiet dialogue with the layered historic surfaces.
Contemporary mirrors capture and multiply centuries of history, while wrought-iron garment racks draw clean, modern lines through the air.
Nothing here is hidden away.
Even the most practical moments are framed by time, color, and craft.

Details

Via Dei Cappellari & Campo De' Fiori

Discover the street where hat makers established their workshops in the 15th century, transforming the ancient Via dei Tebaldeschi into what is now known as Via dei Cappellari. This street marks the final stretch of an old Roman road once leading toward the Theatre of Marcellus and, during the Middle Ages, it became one of the city’s principal arteries.

Roman Blooms stands at the center of this layered history. Where cappellari once belonged to the Università dei Merciai, today discreet creative studios, hidden restaurants, and the most photographed bougainvillea in Rome carry the craft tradition forward. The spirit of making, shaping, and imagining has never left this place. It has simply changed form.

Here, history is not preserved behind glass.
It continues, quietly, in everyday life.

Riccardo, the care behind the space

This quiet moment of care reflects how Roman Blooms is shaped: through attention, patience, and presence. Riccardo, the curator behind the house, restored the space personally, approaching it from within, adjusting, observing, and refining every detail with intention.

The renovation was not a single act, but a process of research and precision. Materials were sought, tested, and placed on site. Proportions were corrected. Colors calibrated. Each choice aimed to give the house its own identity, resisting repetition in favor of specificity.

The house is not managed from a distance.
It is lived, refined, and tended to quietly.
Color, texture, balance.
What guests experience is the result of countless small gestures, made long before arrival.
Roman Blooms is not staged.
It is cared for.
